Biography

The biggest driver in what I’m able to achieve is a result of my faith in Christ. Without Him I would not be able to do anything…period.

Since starting playing guitar semi-professionally at 13 years old, I have been fortunate enough to have traveled across the country as a guitarist with various bands and also worked as a session musician. This has opened up opportunities to enjoy many side man responsibilities playing with various artists in the  Contemporary Jazz  genre such as Cindy Bradley, Kim Waters, Jeff Lorber, Althea Rene, Peter White, Nick Colionne, Marion Meadows, Brian Simpson, Ragan Whiteside, and many others. Currently, I am the guitarist with the nationally recognized contemporary jazz group, Urban Jazz Coalition

I have a passion for music. This passion has led me to honing my skills in a variety of areas to include composing and arranging.  As a composer for Film & TV, I have a variety of compositions in many music libraries and on various networks: CBS, NBC, HBO, MTV, to name a few and in countries such as Brazil, Canada, Mexico and the U.K.

I define success as being able to achieve some personal satisfaction with what one is able to do. I believe you have to set a standard of excellence for yourself and hold yourself to that standard. You have to be the kind of musician that is confident, dependable, and an impact player, no matter what the musical situation. You can then feel like you are successful at what you are doing. My long term goal has always been to be in musical situations that please the listener and to be a professional. I really want to be involved with music that people really enjoy.
